Born in California and raised in Iowa, Taylor began his audio journey as a freshman in high school — and he hasn't looked back since. What started as a teenage fascination with how records are made has grown into a career-long pursuit of sonic excellence, both for his own work and for the artists he collaborates with.

Taylor sharpened his craft under the mentorship of Grammy-winning instructors at McNally Smith College of Music, where he built a strong technical foundation rooted in industry best practices. Since relocating to Los Angeles, he has logged thousands of independent recording sessions with artists at every stage of their careers — from first-time vocalists stepping up to the mic to seasoned performers refining their signature sound. That range of experience has given him a rare ability to read the room, adjust on the fly, and get the best possible performance out of every artist he works with.
